Podiatry is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the foot and related lower limb disorders.

Podiatrist don’t just look after the basics but are uniquely qualified to detect the early stages of diseases that exhibit warning signs in the lower extremities, such as diabetes, arthritis and cardiovascular disease, and manage foot conditions which may pose an ongoing threat to a patient's overall health.

At Midleton Foot Clinic we deal with all aspects of foot care up to and including surgical interventions. We are staffed by a multidisciplinary team and all of our clinicians are qualified to Degree level or equivalent and are listed by either the Department of Health or Children, or registered with the Health Professions Council (UK) or both.

Previously referred to as chiropody, Podiatry is the term used internationally and better reflects modern degree level clinical practice.
